Awarding of access control system to pedestrian zones in Ponferrada
The City Council of Ponferrada has awarded to Ecocomputer the supply, installation and start-up of an access control system with vehicles to pedestrian zones through automatic recognition of license plates.
This system is based on our ACTAIS® platform and, in particular, the ACTAIS® Traffic module.

ACTAIS® Traffic is the product designed by Ecocomputer for the management of access to Areas with Residential Priority. In essence is the system ACTAIS® AC (Access Control) already implemented in Hunosa in 2009 but adapted in its interface to the needs of making a proposal for sanction, among others.
The system will be installed in some of the most emblematic streets of the city:
- Access to the Old Town by the Plaza de las Nieves.
- Access to the Old Town on Cruz de Miranda Street.
- Access to the Old Town on Gil and Carrasco Street.
- Access to the Old Town on Calle Esteban de la Puente.
- Access to the Avenida de España at the junction with Avenida del Castillo.
- Access to the Avenida de España at the junction with Argentina.
- Access to Calle la Paz.
The police officer can consult and confirm penalties through the web interface of ACTAIS® Traffic FrontOffice or from his Smartphone, thanks to the module ACTAIS® Traffic Mobile.
